“Eat, Drink & Be Scary” at Your Halloween Party
- On October 14, 2021
Whatever snacks you’re going to serve won’t matter if you get the drinks right, and we’re here to ensure you do that. We have everything you need for a spook-fest like no other.
These are three can’t miss drinks that every partygoer will surely love. Whatever drinks you serve, adding dry ice will make them “Double, double, toil and trouble; fire burn, and cauldron bubble.”
Hello gord-geous, it’s almost All Hallows’ Eve. “What’s up, my witches?” Are you the type who looks forward to Halloween starting sometime just after the Fourth of July? Do you want your Halloween party to “give them pumpkin to think about”? I hope you don’t mind a few Halloween puns.
Halloween can be so much fun if you plan your party properly and include some spooky drinks to Zipp and Njoy! So, go ahead and “trick or treat” yourself to some dynamite drink ideas for your party courtesy of Zipps Liquors.
Pumpkin Pie Martini
Not everyone loves a Martini, but let’s “creep it real,” this is NOT your average Martini. First, crush some graham crackers, coat a Martini glass rim (you can put the maple syrup in a bowl and dip it) with maple syrup and then dip it lightly into the crushed crackers. Every zipp will give you a taste of grim; I mean graham.
You can use pumpkin syrup, pumpkin-flavored liquor or fresh pumpkin puree. Mix vodka, maple syrup, heavy cream, pumpkin puree (you can use canned or make some in the blender), vanilla extract, and pumpkin spice.
You can mix these ahead of time, add a cube of dry ice, top with whip cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional).
Halloween Punch for Your Cauldron
What’s more fun than a cauldron filled with blood-red Halloween Punch that’s mysteriously boiling and smoking? Of course, if you plan to have kids at the party, let your guests add the aged rum.
So, drag out that old cauldron, add cranberry juice (use 100% juice, with no added sugar), and apple cider or juice; cider is tangier and adds the color to darken the red a little, and ginger ale or ginger beer.
Simple right? Add the dry ice to make it boil, bubble and smoke. You can add the aged rum later so the kids can enjoy it too (many believe the longer it sits in the oak cask, the better, like Captain Morgan). But be careful with the Bacardi 151. Please don’t overdo it. Drink responsibly and lift your spirits lightly. No one wants to wake up on the Day of the Dead feeling like a zombie.
The Corpse Reviver
What kind of Halloween Party would it be without the famed Corpse Reviver? Although it’s not scary, it’s frightfully delicious. Think of a gin sour. Well, technically, you could use whiskey or vodka if you prefer.
Just mix equal portions of gin (or your liquor of choice), Cointreau, lemon juice, Kina Lillet or Cocchi Americano, and a dash or smidgen of absinthe (for that little licorice flavor).
