This coming Wednesday, the 21st, we’re hosting a special event involving zombies, portraiture, and of course, craft beer! Join us from 4-6pm as we host Minneapolis artist David Witt, aka DWITT, creating on-the-fly, carnival style “zombified” illustrations of customers for free! Tallgrass Brewing out of Manhattan Kansas will be here for refreshments.

Tallgrass will be pouring some fantastic beers including 8-Bit, a Pac-Man themed American Pale Ale with notes of citrus marmalade and toast; as well as Zombie Monkey, a roasty, robust porter that’s perfect for Fall. We’ll also be opening up some special releases such as Big RICC, a Russian Imperial Stout brewed with coffee and chocolate that clocks in a 12%ABV. Tallgrass is one of those breweries that’s doesn’t make a bad beer, so be sure to try any and all that are open!

DWITT is a prominent local artist, especially in the craft beer scene. He has created every cover of the Growler Magazine since it started in 2012 and serves as their in-house illustrator, as well as doing the poster art for every Beer Dabbler festival. He’s also collaborated with several local breweries for special event artwork. He’ll be at Zipps creating first-come first-served, improvised, zombie-style portraits for lucky customers, all free of charge! Stop in for the spectacle and sip on some delicious brews!
