CLASS: An evening with Barnaby Tuttle from Teutonic Wine

Barnaby Tuttle will be hosting a class in our Zipps Classroom. Drawn from the inspiration of Riesling from Germany, Barnaby Tuttle embarked on his road from restaurateur to winemaker.  In 2005 he began his venture with a mere 2 acre farm he and his wife farmed.  By 2008, he produced enough wine to have bottles to sell.  He has continued to grow from there.  Present day, Barnaby produces 4 to 6 thousand cases of wine a year (including Riesling).  All of the wines are from dry-farmed Vineyards, utilizing old Vines planted in higher elevation, and using a pied de cuve from the vineyard (natural yeast).  Barnaby has continued to be a pioneer in the domestic winemaking scene with his radical experiments, natural approach, and nuance.
