‘It’s GYST wine. Join co-owner and sommelier, Mel Guse of GYST Fermentation Bar, for a talk and tasting around natural wine. What is this ‘so-called’ natural wine? What does it mean to drink wine with only indigenous yeast fermentation? Does biodynamic farming practices have an effect on wine? These questions and more will be explored during the class and while tasting a variety of low-intervention wine. Come learn why it’s such an exciting time to be making these wines.

The price of $40 includes a guided wine tasting, a draft kombucha and a GYST Board -think an adult Lunchable! – cheese, meat, fermented veggie and a sweettreat!

GYST Fermentation Bar is a family-owned business since 2014 and is located one block of 26th and Nicolett in the Eat Street Neighborhood. At GYST, you will experience a menu that incorporates your favorite fermented food and drink: from artisanal cheeses to traditional lacto-fermented pickles, from draft kombucha to craft brews and natural wines, bean-to-bar chocolates and delicious coffee.
